Built for the rigors of the workday, this boot offers custom carbon-fiber toes and an air-infused KEEN Luftcell midsole which provides unbeatable, long-lasting comfort. The barnyard-resistant leather upper and KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane take it to a whole new level along with the EH-rated rubber outsole which offers abrasion and slip-resistance providing better safety and longevity in a style which typically isn’t available.

Winner – Hard Hats
Klein Tools Safety Helmet, Non-Vented-Class E
What they said:
Klein Tools’ Safety Helmets were built with the same innovative features and attributes of the original Klein Tools Hard hats, with a focus on safety, comfort, and fit.
When looking at safety, this helmet is tested to the latest ANSI Z89.1, CSA Z94.3, EN397, and EN12492 standards. Klein went beyond what is required for “Type I” safety helmets which are rated for top impact only, testing the helmet for top, front/back and side-impact, penetration, and deformation.
In terms of comfort, this helmet features multiple innovative features to make it comfortable for trade professionals to wear for extended periods. The helmet is designed for great balance to ensure that it doesn’t feel bulky on the head. The top pad is designed to move sweat away from the hottest area on the head and prevents suspension straps from digging into the head. The sweatband is made from a padded, sweat-wicking odor control material to help you stay dry and cool. It is also machine washable and reusable, so it will last you for years.
For fit, this helmet features a 6-point suspension harness for greater stability and fit withing maintaining optimal air circulation under the hottest part of the helmet. This suspension system is also open-frame, meaning it conforms to your head for a firm fit. This helmet, along with all Klein Tools safety helmets features a pivoting ratchet system that can be moved to clear ponytails and bandana knots and maintain a secure grip. Beyond all this, the helmet also features a unique patent-pending accessory mount on the front and back of the helmet to allow easy attachment of Klein headlamps securely and without the need for a strap.
What we say:
What we love about Klein’s new hard hats is the combination of attention to comfort and functionality. There are vented options (Class C) when you can have them and non-vented (Class E) when the work calls for it. You have accessory points to add a face shield, hearing protection, and more. Clips on the back and front let you mount Klein headlamps without the need for a strap and you can buy these hard hats with a headlamp included.
All-day comfort comes from an easily adjustable open-frame suspension, sweatband, and top pad. Mercifully, those pads are replaceable once you begin to smell the efforts of your labor.

Winner – Ladders
Little Giant Ladders 15912-002 Sentinel Model 12
Sometimes, you need to get closer to the task at hand than a standard A-frame offers, and that’s where the Sentinel comes in. The Little Giant Sentinel combines two ladders in one, A-frame and leaning ladder, making it a versatile tool to help you get stuff done with confidence. Available in 10’ and 12’ models, the Sentinel is a Type IAA ladder, rated to hold up to 375 lbs. This ladder meets or exceeds all OSHA and ANSI standards.
Rotating Wall Pad: The Sentinel features a rotating wall pad that allows you to safely work on inside corners, outside corners, walls, and studs. With its non-marring surface, you can lean your ladder to get closer to your work without fear of damaging the surface on which you are working.
Ground Cue: Many injuries occur when descending the ladder, specifically by missing the last rung of the ladder. When you step on the bottom rung of the ladder, Ground Cue makes an audible click, alerting you that you have reached the ground safely.
Non-Conductive, High-Viz Green Fiberglass: Our High-Viz green fiberglass is lightweight and non-conductive. The vibrant green color is proven to increase visibility, preventing injuries from people or objects bumping the ladder while it is in use. The Sentinel is a great all-around ladder for tasks at home and on the go.
Extra-Wide Rungs: At 3.12” wide the rungs on the Sentinel are already comfortable, but the top two standing rungs are where the Sentinel really shines. The top rungs are set at 6.25” for maximum foot comfort while standing atop the ladder.
What we say:
Little Giant’s Sentinal combines several features that are incredibly useful. When it’s not as easy to see your feet, Ground Cue gives you an audible metal click that lets you know you’ve reached the bottom step. We also really like that the ladder converts into a leaning ladder and has a rotating wall pad that’s perfect for both inside and outside corners along with studs and flat wall spaces. With high-viz green construction, your ladder is more likely to be seen, and the non-conductive fiberglass construction helps protect you against electrical accidents. Overall, the Sentinel is one of the most well-rounded A-frame ladders available.

Winner – Personal Lighting
Milwaukee Tool 2004HZL Intrinsically Safe C I, II, III / D 1 Spot/Flood Headlamp
Intrinsically safe lighting is a requirement for companies that do any work in dimly-lit, flammable gas and dust situations.* Unfortunately, up until now, safety managers have had to opt for intrinsically safe headlamps that compromise on performance due to the limited capabilities of other products in the market.
By leveraging our leadership in jobsite lighting technology, we’re able to finally provide these users with a hazardous location headlamp built for their needs. This new Class I, II, and III / Division 1 Groups A-G headlamp not only delivers 310 lumens of TRUEVIEW High Definition Output and a beam distance of 100 meters, but it does so in a lightweight compact design.
What we say:
There are a couple of reasons Milwaukee’s Intrinsically Safe Headlamp outshines the competition. It’s clearly marked as intrinsically safe and distinct in its color design from any of Milwaukee’s other headlamps. When you pick it up, you know without a doubt it’s your intrinsically safe headlamp rather than a standard one. That’s not something every manufacturer of intrinsically safe lighting does, and it’s really helpful when you’re working in hazardous locations. It also doesn’t compromise on performance to deliver capabilities like a brighter 100-meter beam distance and lighter weight.

Winner – Safety Lighting
Lind Equipment Lind Apollo UV-C LED Light
What they said:
The Lind Apollo UV-C LED Light was created as a solution to fill the gap in the market that desperately needed help. Lind Equipment was never in the UV light industry, but as the pandemic hit the global economy and consumers were searching for a solution; the brilliant minds at Lind were able to come out with a brand-new UV-C product in under a month – during a global crisis. The Lind Apollo UV-C LED light was in the market as a commercial/industrial light to decontaminate areas, vehicles, PPE, tools, objects, and much more. Originally, COVID-19 in North America saw major PPE shortages, and UV-C light was a CDC approved method to decontaminate and re-use PPE. Lind began branching out to hospitals to assist the front-line workers struggling with the PPE shortages. Since then, Lind has turned the focus back to the construction and rental market, helping jobsites and rental facilities utilize UV-C light to keep their workers and customers safe.
The UV-C market is a mix between hand-held individual decontamination gadgets and overpriced high-tech UV-C decontamination robots for hospitals. Everyday businesses did not have a solution capable of helping to disinfect their storefront, or their large rental equipment, or office spaces for workers. That’s where the Lind Apollo UV-C LED light steps in. This product stands out in all industries because it is one of the few options available around the world. Medical offices are reaching out to decontaminate their patient rooms and office spaces, public transit vehicles are utilizing this technology to decontaminate the inside of the cars/cabs. The Canadian government has signed the Lind Apollo UV-C LED light as an innovative solution to decontaminate key workspace areas in their headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Apollo light is also extremely versatile and adaptable to any unique decontaminating layout. It has a rolling stand with the capacity to hold up to 8 UV-C lights at once. Allowing for a 360-degree layout, or with only one light, it can be used as a floodlight layout. Each Apollo light can be daisy-chained together to allow for up for 30 units on a single circuit. The Apollo light can be hung up using its built-in hooks, it can be permanently mounted to a wall, and, it can even be placed on an adaptable tripod to decontaminate downwards.
What we say:
With Coronavirus creating an uncertain future and the very real possibility of PPE shortages during spikes, Lind’s Apollo UV-C LED Light presents an innovative way to help with decontamination and an innovative design. It’s the versatility of the design that caught our judges’ attention. We like that you can daisy chain up to 30 lights together and with a variety of light configurations. If decontaminating equipment or areas is a concern for your business, give the Lind Apollo UV-C light a serious look.

When installed with Romex or MC, the job site lighting is capable of being used on temporary power systems from 120v-277v. What we say:
Milwaukee keeps a lot of the easy installation features and design of their original Radius LED temporary light and begins by nearly doubling the output to 15,000 lumens. It’s still incredibly easy to install and comes ready to use if you have prewired 120V AC plugs already in place. If you’re going to hardwire the lights, it’s about as easy as you can hope for. We like the addition of theft deterrence for areas more prone to job site losses. As a halogen replacement, the Milwaukee Radius LED 130W saves you time on the install and money with reduced theft and greater durability.

GEARWRENCH 83350 1000 Lumen Rechargeable Wing Light with Underhood Rack
The GEARWRENCH 1000 Lumen Rechargeable Wing Light with Underhood Rack isn’t just a lighting solution—it’s multiple solutions. When closed, the GEARWRENCH Wing Light is a powerful flashlight with up to 400 lumens of lighting power. When a larger area needs to be lit, the Wing Light opens to reveal a powerful LED on the inside of each wing, creating a 1,000-lumen area light without needing another tool.
The interior lights feature two brightness settings (500 and 1000 lumens) to save energy when you don’t need the full light. A constant current prevents dimming for up to four hours of battery life, which is charged through a USB-C charging port within the handle. The dual-material body is easy to grip and is resistant to water, solvents and dust infiltration. It’s also drop-tested to withstand life in the garage. Using its magnetic handle or built-in hanging hook, the Wing Light is easily mounted under shelves, joists or vehicle hoods.
The Wing Light pairs with the GEARWRENCH Underhood Rack system, making positioning for optimum illumination even easier. The Underhood Rack adjusts from 36”-86” along its durable tubular steel frame. The end hooks rotate 360 degrees for ease in putting them in and out of position. The slide rail allows the Wing Light to lock in multiple positions and pivot up to 90 degrees for better directional lighting.

The strap itself is abrasion-resistant to ensure that it doesn’t wear prematurely. A carabiner clip on the end holds up to 5 tethers with a maximum of 50 pounds.
